Abilities:

• Puffley has the outstanding ability to conjure fresh popcorn with the aid of his magical abilities. He then seasons and refines this popcorn with salt, sugar, butter, chocolate, caramel, and much more. The first three ingredients, salt, sugar, and butter, he can even conjure using his magical powers. Conjuring popcorn and these mentioned ingredients only requires a very small amount of magical energy, allowing Puffley to share his delicious popcorn with others at his beloved popcorn stand

• His very soft and short fur has a very pleasant scent. It smells like fresh popcorn, sometimes salty, sweet or buttery. These scents seem to alternate randomly, and even Puffley himself doesn't know why he might smell like salty popcorn for five hours one day and then suddenly like sweet popcorn for the next three. However, he doesn't mind at all, as he loves the unpredictable and the element of surprise. These lovely scents stimulates the appetite and they have an inspiring and motivating effect on the creatures around him

• Puffley is a very humorous and funny creature which loves making others laugh and happy. He is a great performer and he loves telling jokes, being silly and showing some funny tricks to the audience. He usually never performs without one of his best friends, namely Motley. They are an amazing team and enjoy working together a lot. Their performances even seem to have a magical effect on the creatures who watch them. No matter what mood, if they make someone laugh, it will improve the being's mood and bring them a warm, cuddly feeling. They constantly brighten the eyes and hearts of their audience. This effect can last from hours to days, depending on the individual's nature and prior emotional state. The happier the viewers were, the longer this effect will last

• Puffley can jump quite high and far and he can do this repeatedly. However, he often struggles to coordinate his jumps well, making them a bit haphazard, just like the cooking of popcorn. This isn't much of an issue, though, as many find it very amusing

• He has the ability of speech and he speaks and understands many different human languages of our world. Of course he is able to interact with his fellow species and other animals and creatures. He can even translate to a certain extent

• Unlike other dogs, he can see almost all existing colours. He cannot see so well in the dark though

 

Weaknesses:

• He can't simply "turn off" his delicious scent, making it difficult for him to hide for example

• For both Puffley and Motley it's one of their main goals to cheer up every single creature around them. They also know that they succeed in bringing these feelings to life every time thanks to their great teamwork and magical abilities. However, it deeply saddens them each time a being, despite their assistance, feels sad and gloomy again. Moreover, if this effect wears off, they cannot immediately "reactivate" it for the affected being. They must wait for hours, even days, before this magic can work again. This factor strongly depends on the intensity of the negative mood or feeling: the more negative it is, the longer it takes for the effect to resume. This can be very burdensome for the two passionate performers

• Sometimes his actions can be unpredictable and he loves surprises, and this doesn’t just apply to his uncoordinated hopping around. One moment he is calmly watching a movie with others and then in the other moment he suddenly starts jumping around joyfully. He also loves surprising his friends by throwing surprise parties or giving someone a present out of the blue. This can be very amusing for some beings, but might be a bit annoying for others

• Puffley can sometimes be a bit scatterbrained and clumsy. He often drops things or misplaces them. It can also happen that he’s not fully focused or mixes up or forgets certain things, like specific appointments or meeting places. Luckily, his friends are aware of this and help him out, for instance by carrying things  for him or reminding him of something, for which he is very grateful

Further Information:

• He has an entirely vegetarian diet, even though he is a dog. His favourite foods are sweet treats, fruits and nuts. He especially loves snack food, like popcorn, chips and salt sticks

• He was born in the Land of Eternal Dusk a mystical land which is full of magic and fairy-like creatures. As the name implies, the land is in a state of eternal dusk. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place

• He and every here presented Land of Eternal Dusk resident are good friends. As already mentioned, he considers Motley as one of his best friends and they even perform together. His other best friend is Wattara, who always sets up her stand next to his and gets along with him very well. They both share a passion for their favourite food, and both can be a bit scatterbrained and clumsy at some times. He also gets along well with the other amusement park and funfair members Rummel and Carouselle

• He is one of the youngest here introduced adults
